Stagg Turkey Donations Reach 3,000 Bronx Families
BRONX, NY (November 23, 2021) – Real estate developer Mark Stagg, CEO/Founder of Stagg Group upheld his annual tradition of gifting thousands of turkeys to those in need ahead of the Thanksgiving holiday. Employees of Stagg Group were joined by several government officials over the course of several days last week including, Vanessa Gibson Elected Bronx Borough President, Kenny Burgos Assemblymember for the 85th district in Southeast Bronx, Rafael Salamanca, Jr. Councilmember for the 17th District of the New York City Council, Jose Rivera Assemblymember for the 78th District, Elvira Castillo President, Westchester Latino Unido and Sabrina Powell, Director of Special Initiatives at The Echelon Society, Inc. in Mount Vernon, N.Y.
On Saturday, November 20th Stagg partnered with Alessandra Biaggi New York State Senator and Marjorie Velasquez Councilmember-Elect for the 13th district of New York City at the Huntington Free Library for a Food & Health Empowerment Fair. The event featured a panel discussion on food insecurity in the Bronx and a food justice resource fair with turkey giveaways and supplied bags of produce.
“Every year we look forward to this and this year, especially while we are in a pandemic, we are grateful for the partnership that was required to make these events a success and we are happy to support families in our community preparing for the Thanksgiving holiday.” Said Stagg.
In total, Stagg donated 3,000 turkeys to Bronx residents.
